Brooklyn Cloth boards with Youth Empowerment Foundation

At Brooklyn Cloth, we have an innate sense of community involvement and social awareness. We also love boarding in any shape or fashion. So when it came time to work with a community organization, it only made sense to partner with an amazing youth program called The Chill Foundation.

The Chill Foundation, a part of Burton Snowboards, believes in inspiring youth through board sports, such as snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing. Jesse Wilson, the New York City manager, became involved with the foundation two years ago after his time as a competitive snowboarder. He, along with his impassioned team, strives to teach important life qualities to the participating youth.

Wilson said the foundation wanted get involved with Brooklyn Cloth because our brand emanates the same qualities of “community building, the Americana ideal of giving back, and general artistic expression and street style.”

Brooklyn Cloth’s support included providing reflective bibs, which were helpful for the nighttime snowboarding trips. It is inspiring to see our partnerships improve the quality of life for kids. We are happy to continue this wonderful partnership with the Chill Foundation and can’t wait to see what we can do together.
