Brooklyn Cloth Holiday 2019 Campaign

For Brooklyn Cloth’s Holiday 2019 campaign, the theme is “Keep the Season…”.

We went with “Keep the Season…” because for us, it really depends on our #BKFAM and how they celebrate. You can Keep the Season Joyful, or Fresh, or Fun, or Sweet. It’s all about you and how you celebrate.

This year, we stayed in the area and shot our new collection in a downtown Jersey City loft. Why would a Brooklyn-named brand shoot in Jersey City? Well, we want to show love to all the boroughs, and downtown Jersey City has become an honorary borough of New York City. Per Wikipedia, “Historic Downtown was an area of mostly low-rise buildings to the west of the waterfront—but that is rapidly changing. It includes the neighborhoods of Van Vorst Park and Hamilton Park, which are square parks surrounded by brownstones. The Grove Street neighborhood has also seen a lot of development, and the neighborhood is rich with stores and restaurants that cater to the diverse backgrounds of Jersey City's inhabitants.”

The downtown area has become a walking street art revival with dope murals everywhere you look. Along with the street art, there are some restored lofts or brownstones that were built in the 1880s. We had the opportunity to shoot in one of them, four flights up — our team who had to haul four suitcases of clothing, video, and camera equipment wasn’t so excited about this, but we made it happen!

The vibe was lo-fi DIY. We wanted to show how someone who shared an apartment might decorate with their roommates during the holiday season, with handmade garlands, lights, and of course, candy canes.

This holiday campaign also introduces our limited-edition holiday graphic tees for men, women, and kids — celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah. Our designer had tons of fun with these designs, and it’s only available at Brooklyn Cloth.

Here are some of our favorite must-have gifts to give and get this season.

Sherpa Collection

Sherpa: it’s the “of-the-moment” fabric, and we have every style to get you looking fire during the holidays. For those that don’t know, here’s a little FYI about Sherpa. Sherpa fleece is a type of fabric made from polyester; it has some stretch knit polyester fleece fabric woven in it. If you’ve ever worn Sherpa, you’ve probably noticed that it has two pretty distinct sides; one is a smooth knit while the other has a textured feel. It is intended to look and feel like real sheep's fleece (without paying the real sheep fleece price).

Sherpa Collection

Now that we schooled you on Sherpa, we love the men’s biscuit Sherpa pullover and ivory Sherpa pullover hoodie in our holiday collection. It’s great for everyday wear or lazy early morning staycations. You can pair it with your favorite jacket or anorak, or just on its own when the weather is still warm.

Winter is always Hoodie Season (or SZN as you’d say on the gram), and this season, we are introducing tons of styles and fabrics. Cut and sew hoodies is one trend we’re excited about. Cut and sew means pieces of fabric are cut to shape and sewn together to create the dopest hoodie around. It takes more time than screen printing on one fabric, but well worth it because it gives our hoodies a more elevated look.

We’ve taken red, white, and blue — which doesn’t always have to read “Fourth of July” — and made it Sherpa! Our ivory color block Sherpa hoodie is a must-have.

Ivory Cozy Hoodie

We’ve also introduced 100% cotton hoodies via our Original Garments capsule — limited-edition and only available from Brooklyn Cloth. The fit is slouchy and can be worn with our best-selling ankle side zip joggers or your favorite denim pants.

Full Zip Sherpa Jackets

These are a staple during the fall and winter months, and we are excited to offer a wide variety of styles and colors. These new versions of the outdoorsy full zip Sherpa jackets feature amazing details, like contrast zippers and color-blocking pockets, which lend themselves to being worn with our comfy joggers or jeans.  And we love how Amira took our guys Biscuit Sherpa Pullover Hoodie and made it her own, because our #BKBAE always looks fire in our men’s jackets.

Denim Jackets

Denim Jackets never went away, but they’ve recently received a style update. This holiday season, gifting a denim jacket is a no-brainer. One of our favorites is our bestseller and back-in-stock distressed denim trucker jacket. It looks like you’ve had this denim jacket forever, which means it’s super soft, has a looser fit, and is great to wear year-round.  Levi’s, which recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary, was the brand that introduced the world to this iconic trucker jacket. Now, brands have taken their own spin on the design.

 Denim Jackets with Sherpa Lining

We also love our flannel-lined denim jacket! We took the classic buffalo plaid pattern and added it as a lining in our dark washed men’s denim jacket, giving it the right pop of color without adding bulk.

The Jogger

We couldn’t have a holiday gift guide without our customer’s favorite joggers.

If you don’t own a pair of our joggers, we recommend you try both our twill joggers and our knit joggers. Joggers have become a staple in men’s bottoms. The comfortable elastic waist, elastic leg opening, and different fabrics give any guy the option of looking good while staying comfortable during the holiday season.

Black Twill Ankle Zip joggers for men's gifts

Our favorite twill joggers to gift are the black ankle zip joggers for men. It’s a great fit, and the added side zippers let you show off your dope sneakers! They’re modern fit, which means size up or at least don’t wash it hot and dry hot.

For knit joggers, we’d choose our black marl cozy knit joggers all day long! We already know you have the basic grey sweatpants, so why not add a texture while keeping warm with these joggers.

We hope this gets you to Keep the Season...

Or whatever “holiday” words come to mind for you.
